#50 Production – Archive 03 Officially Released

Hey everyone, Adrian here. Archive 03 has officially been filmed and published.

Originally, the plan was to shoot this archive using my vintage camera with the fisheye lens attachment. After multiple attempts, we realized the setup just wasn’t stable enough and honestly wasn’t built for that kind of movement. Instead of forcing it, we pivoted and shot the entire archive on the phone, which gave us way more control and a smoother result overall.

There were also a lot of script changes made during production, but they ended up improving the archive a lot. The way we filmed it was by having Marcos hold the camera and act as the bodycam operator. Brandon was introduced as a completely new character, playing a sheriff’s department officer. The scene shows him knocking at what is supposed to be Adrian’s house, questioning the situation, and ultimately arresting Adrian for the theft of military equipment.

One major change from the original plan is that Tati escapes the scene. Initially, we planned for both characters to be arrested by separate officers, but we decided to shift the focus entirely onto Adrian. This change adds more ambiguity to the story. It suggests that Tati may have bailed Adrian out later, but that part is never directly shown. It’s left for the audience to piece together on their own.

Marcos’s only role during filming was operating the camera, since his character is the missing brother in the film and does not speak in this archive. Brandon is shown fully in uniform with a vest and handcuffs, which helps sell the realism of the arrest and keeps the tone grounded and procedural rather than dramatic. Below is the release of raw BTS footage captured, with funny moments or just rehearsals.

Up next is the real deal. Filming for the actual five minute film officially begins tomorrow. From here on out, the focus shifts from archives to full production. More updates soon.
