#49 Production – Archive 02 Officially Released, Cast Reaction To Script

Hey everyone, Adrian here. There was a slight delay in the release of Archive 02, but it is now officially finished and published on Instagram. Alongside the release, a set of behind the scenes photos was also posted to give more context on how the archive was made and how it fits into the larger rollout.

With Archive 02 now out, the focus has fully shifted to Archive 03. That archive is scheduled to be filmed tomorrow, with the goal of having it completed and ready for publishing as soon as possible. After that, attention moves almost entirely to filming the first half of the actual film the next day, Friday, after school. If everything stays on track, the plan is to complete Archive 04 over the weekend so that one hundred percent of the focus can go into finishing principal filming.

For the setup of Archive 02, a black green screen was used as the background. The frame intentionally does not fully fill the screen, which was a creative choice to make the space feel tighter and more uncomfortable, similar to an interrogation room. The scene focuses on the investigator questioning Matheus about his missing brother. I played the role of the investigator, but my face is blurred whenever it appears on screen, since I am already acting as a character within the film itself. A voice changer was also used to further separate the investigator from my on screen character. This same technique was previously used during the CCR production last year for Fading Into You, so it felt fitting to bring it back for this project.

Below is a short behind the scenes clip of us rehearsing the scene, recorded on a separate camera. The footage runs for about one minute and captures the early blocking and performance adjustments before the final take was filmed.

As for Archive 03, the plan is to shoot it using the fisheye lenses (talked about in blog #32) on a vintage camera to better replicate the distortion and look of real Axon police body camera footage. The goal is realism rather than stylization. We still plan on using Brandon for this archive, and if everything goes smoothly, we should be able to film it fully in one session.

In addition, here is a clip of cast member Matheus Rodriguez reacting to the script during his first read through.

Things are moving quickly now. The archives are nearly wrapped, filming is about to begin, and the focus is shifting from buildup to execution. More updates soon.
