Hey everyone, Adrian here. Plans to film the second half of the film this Saturday have officially been delayed. Matheus was called in for work and a few other cast members were unavailable, so after checking everyone’s schedules, Thursday after school was confirmed as the new filming date. This delay isn’t ideal, but it was the most realistic option that works for everyone involved and keeps the production moving forward without forcing rushed scenes.
I also want to address music clearance, specifically for the two short song excerpts planned for the film. Permission request emails were sent out on January 15th, and as of today, January 27th, there has been no response. After waiting nearly two weeks, the decision has been made to move forward assuming no issue with usage, as the clips are extremely short, used only once, and the project is strictly educational and non-commercial for Cambridge assessment purposes.
Archive 04 has also been pushed back and will be completed sometime this week. Included in this blog are the finalized on-screen DMV documents that will appear in the archive, along with a small preview of the script. These documents are designed to feel authentic while still remaining fictional, reinforcing the realism of the archive format without exposing real information.

For those who noticed, the featured image shows the cover layout for all three completed archives. In Archive 03, there were early plans to include a dispatch radio voice. At one point this was going to be voiced by Matheus’s girlfriend, but the idea was later scrapped entirely to keep the scene tighter and less cluttered.
Looking ahead, the director interview and cover art reveal are both scheduled to be worked on this week. The goal is to have those finished soon so that next week can be fully dedicated to editing and post-production. There were also earlier plans for a documentary-style BTS piece, which is still being considered, but its final form will depend on time and how production wraps up.
As of now, the Blackout social media account is actively taking shape. The page currently features a total of 10 posts, including archive releases, BTS content, concept visuals, and production updates. This feed is intentionally being built as a living production log rather than a finished promo page, with more posts already planned as filming, archives, and post-production continue. The goal is consistency and narrative build-up rather than dumping content all at once, and the page will continue to evolve as the project moves closer to completion.

One important change moving forward is updating the profile picture. The logo will be replaced with a photo of me and Tati fully dressed in our final costumes, posed in an action-style shot. The planned location is Deering Estate, which will also be used for the official cover art of the film. This helps give the project a more cinematic and cohesive visual identity.
More updates soon as filming resumes.
