#60 Production – Release Tomorrow

Hey everyone, Adrian here. The rollout has officially begun.

Blackout will be released tomorrow.

After months of development, rewrites, filming sessions, reshoots, voiceovers, and post production refinement, the short film is now ready to be shown. What started as a constantly evolving concept has now reached its final stage. This blog marks the transition from production to release.

With the announcement of the release, I am also unveiling new official cast cover arts featuring Tatiana Jimenez and Massimo Morelli. These character posters follow the same visual language established in the main promotional materials, with dramatic lighting, strong contrast, and a cinematic credit structure. Each design isolates the character within a controlled environment that reflects their role in the narrative, while maintaining consistency with the overall branding of Blackout.

These designs were built carefully inside Canva. I focused heavily on alignment, spacing, and maintaining consistency across all character posters so the branding feels unified. The typography remains consistent, especially the red emphasis in “OUT,” which has become a defining visual element of the project.

Behind the scenes of these cover arts, I spent time adjusting layer positioning, gradients, lighting overlays, and subtle shadowing to give the posters depth. The goal was to make them feel less like social media graphics and more like legitimate film character one sheets. Even small changes in brightness and contrast made a noticeable difference in how cinematic the final product felt.

Now that the film is officially scheduled to go live tomorrow, our focus will fully shift toward the festival postcard component. Once the film is published, promotion transitions into presentation. The postcard will need to reflect the same branding language established across the cover arts, thumbnail, and promotional posts, but formatted specifically for a film festival audience.

The production phase is complete. The release phase begins tomorrow. After publishing, the next major milestone will be finalizing the festival postcard and ensuring that the entire promotional package feels cohesive.
