#55 Research/Planning – Script Revisions and Production Adjustments

Hey everyone, Adrian here. A new version of the script is officially in progress, and there’s a potentially new change being talked about at the moment.

One major adjustment that is currently in talks right now is the removal of the helmet and night vision elements. While they look visually strong on paper, we think that they will create practical issues during filming. The gear might be too heavy and unstable for Matheus, especially during physical scenes we have planned, for example climbing the fence and fighting Cesar. There could be a real risk of it falling off mid-take, which would break realism and slow production.

Anyways, updates on the script. The revised script is coming together very well, and filming is set to officially begin tomorrow, for real this time.

Here is a small sneak peek from the updated script:

The tone is tighter, more focused, and straight to the point.

Anyways, before I close this off, one more small but important update.

I know I have not mentioned the domain situation in a while. A couple of weeks ago, I purchased blackoutblogsite.com, but after running into some technical issues, I decided to scrap it. For now, the site will remain under blogsite.gellf.com.

For some backstory, before this film was even called Blackout, we originally had the title Black Ops: Phantom in mind. That was the early concept phase, before the story shifted and matured into what it is now. Even before that title was finalized, the internal codename for the project was Project Gellf, which dates all the way back to September during the earliest development stages.

So while the blackoutblogsite domain did not work out, keeping “gellf” in the URL actually connects the project back to its original foundation. It is a small detail, but it shows how much this film has evolved from its earliest idea to what it has become now. More updates soon as production resumes.
